Child Safety Standards

These are the published standards of GTAFriends (developer: Inertia Interactive LLC) against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). They apply to the GTAFriends website and mobile apps.

Zero tolerance for CSAE and CSAM

GTAFriends has a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We prohibit:

  • Creating, sharing, soliciting, or promoting CSAM in any form
  • Grooming, exploitation, or sexualization of minors
  • Any content or conduct that endangers children or violates child protection laws

Accounts involved in CSAE/CSAM are subject to immediate removal, permanent ban, and referral to appropriate authorities.

Age requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use GTAFriends. Accounts we determine belong to users under 13, or that are used to target children for sexual purposes, will be removed.

How to report child safety concerns

Users can report concerns in the GTAFriends app and on the website:

  • In-app: open a player's profile or session participant list and use Report. Describe the issue clearly (include that it involves child safety / CSAE if applicable).
  • In-app feedback: You → Contact & support / Feedback for general safety or policy concerns.
  • Web: Feedback at gtafriends.com.
  • Email: hello@inertiaux.com (child safety point of contact).

How we address CSAM

When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM or credible CSAE on GTAFriends, we:

  • Remove the content as quickly as practicable
  • Restrict or permanently ban the responsible account(s)
  • Preserve relevant records as required for investigation and legal compliance
  • Report confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or other applicable regional or national authorities, in line with applicable law

We also use automated and human moderation (including chat filters and report review) to reduce abuse and escalate severe safety issues.

Compliance with child safety laws

GTAFriends aims to comply with applicable child safety laws and regulations related to CSAE and CSAM, including obligations to report confirmed CSAM to NCMEC or the relevant authority in the jurisdiction where we operate. These standards are informed by industry guidance such as the Tech Coalition Child Safety Standards.
